Who we are
Extension Plans is a free website that turns a house extension idea into scaled drawings, a planning statement and Building Regulations drawings. It is run by the person who owns this website, who also runs Model my Property and Auto Field Maps.
What we keep
There are no accounts, and you never need to give your name or email address. Your drawing is saved automatically in your own browser so it is there when you return. It is not sent to us.
Plans you upload (PDFs or pictures) are read and traced in your browser and kept in your browser's own storage so you can look at them again. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Anything you type into the planning details, such as your name or address, stays in your browser and only appears on the drawings and documents you choose to print or download.
Services the site loads from
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. The 3D view loads the Three.js library from jsDelivr, and reading PDFs loads Mozilla's PDF.js from cdnjs (Cloudflare). Like any website that loads from other places, these services can see your internet address. None of your plans or drawings are sent to them.
Adverts and cookies
The site shows adverts from Google AdSense to pay for itself. Google and its partners may use cookies, or similar technologies, to show adverts and to measure how they perform. Personalised adverts, based on your visits to this and other websites, are only shown if you agree when asked. If you do not agree, Google may still show non-personalised adverts, which use cookies only for things such as limiting how often you see an advert and preventing fraud.

Besides advertising cookies, the site sets no cookies of its own. Nothing about you is ever sold.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what information is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Because your work is kept in your own browser, you can delete it yourself at any time with "New project" in the site, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
